This was such a wholesome few hours spent.... read more Sarath pointed out all the wildlife including lizards, bats, eagles, kingfishers and was very knowledgeable about everything around us. Highly recommend to anyone visiting .

  Ride was very nice and got good explanations we saw monkeys and birds its a bit shame thogh that the canal in the beginning was dirty.

  Lovely relaxing 2 hour morning boat trip on the lagoon and a small part of the canal. Boatman was very friendly and pointed out a lot of wildlife including... read more water monitor lizards, macaques, jellyfish, pelicans, egrets, storks, eagles, kingfisher, terns, and lots more. We saw evidence of the damage to boats from the devastating tsunami. Several fisherman were out working and one showed us the crabs he had caught. Enjoyed a freshly prepared coconut during the trip. Very enjoyable trip, highly recommend.

We started at the canal which could be so picturesque,... read more however it's now in dire shape, as it's now filled with garbage, highly doubtful if anybody is actively maintaining it. The mangroves themselves made the tour more than simply worthwhile. Suffering from jetlag, we could only do the afternoon tour, so there were a whole lot of animals, but we indeed saw so many birds, monikers, and monkeys. I'd whole-heartedly recommending taking this tour while you're in Negombo.

A highlight was our boatman Jude who was really knowledgeable about the birds and... read more other wildlife (and the plants) and was eagle-eyed in spotting creatures for us to see and get us as close up as possible. The highlights included a snake, monitor lizards, and a huge variety of birds including sea eagles. Many of these we would not have seen without Jude being so observant and pointing things out to us. The tour company also arranged pickup and return from our hotel which was seamless and well worth doing. Cannot recommend the company- and Jude - highly enough!
